I PARTICALLY LIKE THIS QUOTE

"Hound hunting is also a favorite tool for poachers because it is a highly efficient hunting method. The presence of packs of baying dogs also makes it one of the most obvious forms of hunting. If the practice were illegal it would be more difficult for poachers to operate"

now if i were a poacher i believe i would try to not be that loud and "obvious" if i were trying to sneek around and poach.

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Where do you start anyone who has studied wildlife know that a sow will teach the cubs to tree before they ever see a hound they tree to avoid coyotes and large male bears.
Now if I had a dog with the nose of a bear I'd be more successfull.
Because it has been proven a bear has much more scent faculties than your best bloodhound. A sow will sometimes leave the cubs to draw the aggressor away. Then back track to find the cubs.
A sow with cubs is I've found easy to tell look for tits if she has cubs generally you will see them.As far as neglect with our dogs someone should tell my dogs about it,you know the ones laying on my carpeted living room floor, at 70 deg.lol

you no i read that yesterday and wathed there lil vid clip, and jus burns mu butt that they only wanna show the few bad apples. i'd say 10-15% of the hound hunters end up lettin there dogs get to that.
and that part bout us jus puttin on all this tracking equipment so we can jus sit in the truck and let the dogs do all the work. thats the whole point. my dogs live to hunt, i live to let them plain and simple.
the whole point of the trackin system is so you can keep up with them and have them to hunt on another day.
and the ? i have 4 them is, when they get these bears, coons coyotes and other such things over populated and coming into there neighborhoods, coyotes stealin there lil chihauhau, bears killin there lil niece or nephew, tearin through there trash along with the coon, there gonna b crying bout there's to many of them and wanna put them n zoos or have them "humanely Uthanized"
b.s., let us enjoy our heritage and hobby, yall need to jus stay on the topics that don't effect us. they need to spend more time fighting against same sex marriages and all that nonsense b for trying tom mess something up that's already on its way to being lost due to less land.

anyways i'm done 4 now lol.

skinny dogs

ya it made me mad, trying to pass them skinny mutts off as running bears dogs you can plainly see the number the fox hound has on its side, I think all three are running dogs. in forty five yaers of hunting hounds I have only seen dogs like that twice.so i disagree with 10 to 15% its more like .05%And Megan the people that has dogs in that shape arent hunters anyway! so DONT associate us good dog people with a few low life scroungey idiots!!!!
