Just got in from the vet and the word is "COONHOUND PARALYSIS"
I dont believe it, everything I've read says dogs will recover but you may have to hand feed and water them and other things of that nature. My poor boy is pityful, he doesnt move wont eat, drink or anything cant use any of his muscles and is breathing like he's ran a 400 mile marathon. I've tried to feed him and give him liquids but its like he cant swallow. I've tried putting it all the way in the back of his throat but it just comes right back up. I dont know what else to do and to top it off, I got a call from my wife while I was at the vet, she went for a follow up at the dr. and the put her in the hospital to monitor her blood pressure over nght.(shes pregnant & due march 18) They said if it doesnt get any better they will induce her! I now have to leave my dog under the supervision of someone else (while he's dying) and be with my wife and baby. When it rains it POURS!
