I haven't taken my 11 month old gyp hunting in over two months. I had been taking her to feeders and she was trailing very good but not treeing. She knew the coon was up the tree because she would work the track to the tree and then come back. Tonight I took her with her mother and she treed quite well for her first time. After working her on the tree awhile, I shot the coon out. While they fought the coon I noticed the pup is coming in heat. Oh well, thats hunting with females which is my prefrence.
