I thought they'd be great for snakes but I don't care to get that close to a snake. My buddy bought one for his wife but I guess he must value women about as much as I do.

I bought one of the lightweight titanium versions a couple years ago and it's okay. I carry it when coon hunting some of the remote woods I often hunt where cats, bears and wolves sometimes roam. Carrying a .410 chambered firearm is legal on a coonhunt in ND. Now I'm not expecting 410 shells to do anything but make noise but the .45 hollowpoints that also fit the chambers will.
