real well. Been very busy but I have been getting out when I can. I shot one coon the other night, but other than that, just look for them and walk on. Not enough places for me to hunt to shoot more than 4 or 5 a year. Everytime I go though, I learn something else.

Been out about 10 times so far. Treed 40 coon to date. Last night was good treed 6 coon in about 2.5 hours. I just got back into coon hunting again this year after being gone about 12 years. Figured if I got 20-25 coon for the year I would have been happy. Well, I've exceeded that total and won't speculate on the final total. Been having a great time. Glad to be back in the sport thanks to some local hunters who twisted my leg and made me a deal on a blue pup with great breeding I couldn't pass up. Also gave me an old dog as a pup trainer that you wouldn't beleive her age by the way she hunts. Surprised with the number of large coon this year...have 4 coon over 25 lbs including 1 30 lb and about a dozen coon at or above 20 lbs.

Thanks Briar,

You are more than welcome to come along with me.
Lot less hunters than there were when I use to hunt. Figuring a lot of these spots haven't been hunted since I was there last. Don't want to brag but the longest I've been out any given night was 5 hours. Most of the nights I'm only out an hour or two as I have a 2 year old son that has to come along. Wish I could stay out longer most nights.

Since season came in, my female was in heat, I had to wait to take her out. Now she is either way out of shape, or is acting crazy because she is pregnant, but it is not going the best. I did get one that weighed 28 pounds, a few other ones.
