Backwoods Supply Buddy Hunt a SUCCESS!!!!(Results)
Well last night was the 1st monthly buddy hunt put on by BackWoods Supply in New London N.C.The weather didn't get the memo but 14 brave coon hunters from surrounding areas got it and came to show what their hounds could do in 3 to 5 INCHES of SNOW!!!The place was filled to capacity with the kids who found the snow to be a worthy playmate and the old timers who sat around and told stories from the past.At a little after 7pm we got down to business and sent the cast members to the woods with a 3am deadline(due to the weather).We would like to take this time to thank everyone who came out and made the hunt a success.Also to the ladies in charge of feeding all of the hungry hunters Cindi,Dana and Cheri who served the BEST HOMEMADE beef stew with an assortment of homemade pies and cookies to throughout the night,THANKS LADIES.
Cast Winners
Shane Hunnycut TW DUKE............500+
Mark Doby TW HOUDINI.......375+
Deantwion Davis TW GOLDDUST....225+
Zack Caines TW ROSE............100+
The results came back with all cast winners with Plus Points!!!!!!Well the men were showed up last night by 12 year old Shane Hunnycut(right)who with his TW male Duke took top honors and some spending money to boot with a score of 500+.Mark Doby(left) took home runner up and some money with his TW male Houdini.There were no fussing and fighting and ALL cast members had good things to say about the hunt after it was over.
Thanks goes out also to Bill Tipton,James Spivey,DeAntwion Davis and Mark Doby for making this hunt possible.See yal next month March 12,2010 hopefully the weather will be better!!!!!!
