THANKS!

HE GOT 2 CLASS, BREED, AND SHOWS WITH COMPETITION THIS WEEKEND. SO HE'S DOING GOOD.

HE'S A VERY MUSCULAR, WELL DEVELOPED YOUNG DOG. LOL.

HE LOOKED FAR BETTER FRIDAY THAN HE DID SATURDAY, BECAUSE WE WENT HUNTING FRIDAY NIGHT, AND THEY DIDNT EVEN GET THE DOGS BACK UNTIL LIKE 8:30AM. SO HE WAS TIRED AND SORE, AND HAD A TOUGH LITTLE MALE TO SHOW AGAINST SATURDAY.

WE MAY TAKE HIM TO FINES CREEK FRIDAY NIGHT, WE WILL PROBABLY BE SHOWING HIM SATURDAY IN ASHEVILLE AT THE PLOTT SECTIONAL.

Q HASNT REALLY SHOWN A DOG OF OURS SINCE SID. LOL. SO HE'S ENJOYING BEING BACK IN IT ALOT. LOL.

I'd probably hold off on showing him any more. all he needs is 30 pts and he'll be a champion. if you want him to go further, he may have a hard time against older champions until he is filled out more and has matured a little. dont waste him on small shows. jmo

**for a walker, he's not too bad. same as what Lisa said. he could go places**

If you guys have plans on going to any of the larger or state shows I would hold off.

He is a VERY nice young male and their is not alot of them out there, mostily females right now with a few males here and there...

I WISH WE HAD SOMEONE THAT COULD HANDLE HIM AT SOME BIGGER SHOWS BUT RIGHT NOW WE CANT SACRIFICE HUNTING TIME FOR SHOWING.

MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST FINISH HIM IN THE WOODS AND TAKE HIM TO THE BIGGER HUNTS!

i dont understand ?
what difference does it make if the dog finnished his show title out in the big ring or the little ring ,it don't make him worth any more as a coon dog where he got the title as long as he has it.

knowing christy hunts all their dogs,,i'd finnish him out on the bench as fast as i could before he gets cut up or torn up as he's good enough to be a double grand ,
you want to get that show title out of the way before he gets an ear or face ripped off by a bobcat/bear or one of them pressure tree dogs that some brag on,,
thats my opion..

WELL. RED IS NOW A CH HAS QUALIFIED FOR THE UKC WORLD SHOW AND NOW HAS 2 WINS TOWARDS GRAND CHAMPION.

RED HAS WON 2 BACK TO BACK SHOWS IN THE SAME WEEKEND TWICE, AND COULD HAVE WON A THIRD BUT WE GOT ALL THE WAY TO ASHEVILLE AND QUINCY'S WALLET WAS IN MICHAELS TRUCK. LOL.

WE WILL BE TAKING HIM TO A SHOW SOMEWHERE THIS WEEKEND! THERE ARE 3 THAT WE USUALLY ATTEND THAT WE CAN GO TO.

HERE HE IS AT THE RQE. IT'S AMAZING WHAT A FEW WEEKS WILL DO FOR A YOUNG DOG!!!

I think she is saying that showing a young CH against older, physically mature and filled out CHs that are also competing for GRAND will be a little more difficult...

For example - I showed a young pup I bred and made him a show CH at 7 months old. Now imagine putting a 7 month old CH next to a 4 year old CH in a show - the mature dog will almost always win, simply because they are more filled out and fit the breed standard better. That pup I made CH at 7 months old is now 15 months old and I am just now considering beginning to show him again...

Seems like Red is having no problem so far, though! Good luck!

you and i know it's not supposed to be used against them by a real judge but in the real world show rings we know it happens..

way to go cristy,get that double grand as fast as you can,
dog looks good,
dont wait for the big shows,
you can always put him in the duall grand when the big shows come around.,
a real judge knows the difference between a fat show dog and a coondog being showed,,
go for the gold girl ...lol
