Red Bone Questio??

I'm looking into buying a couple red bone pups. The guy has 5 of them but a couple are completely black in color. Does this mean they were crossed with something and they are not full red bone hounds?

I'm located in BC Canada, the pups are in Kingston Nevada. They are a registered redbone and the dam goes back to steve mathes's dogs. Have you heard of him?
I'm kind of new at this and these will be my first dogs. Another question, If I'm getting 2 from this litter should I get to males or mix it up? Thanks for your time!
