g2 lowest voltage

What is the lowest voltage that a g2 can run? Was told by bright eyes 17 was good at classic when was debating on buying one but then on here there saying 17 is lowest would go if g2 will burn on 17 no problem I will buy one of them.

20 cheaper and didnt like the fact that nothing was said at classic that 17v would be outer limit. It was plugged into 17v and said works good but then get on here when get home and it said 21v or better but 17v would be lower limit range. So if g2 will work 17v or better I will just get one of those instead.
Dont get me wrong the bright eyes is very nice just didnt like being told all info when I was thinking of buying.

I was told the info you weren't, on the bright eyes head, and i can promise you that it works well on a 17 volt light. I have one and use it on it. It is brighter on a 21 volt, which Ray told me it would be. All things said and done, this new bright eyes head in made of all aluminum, to help with heat dispersment. When you feel it, it is like having a MAG-LIGHT in you hand. we all know how rugged they are. Quality is there, and bright eyes is MADE IN USA. You stated cheaper in your reasons? I fully agree. G-2, MADE IN CHINA

I could have been told wrong but my understanding is that the G2 is made in USA.

I brought mine at the Classic. And Ray explained it to me that his head will work on 17volt lights just fine. But It would be brighter on a 21volt or better. And that there is very little difference in Brightness from a 21 to 28. Some difference but not much.

I not telling you what to do are anything like that. But after seeing the G2 head and the Bright Eyes. I would rather pay the extra $20.00 and buy the Bright Eyes. Because of the quality it has. Not I'm not say that the G2 head isn't bright. I'm sure it is. But the quality is not there. Before you buy look at them real close. Good luck in with getting what you want.

The G2 is made in USA . Like others the reflector is made overseas. The case is made in Florida. The machine work done in Tomball Texas, assembly done in Cleveland Texas and the LEDs are American made.
The G2 will work properly on lights from 17 volt to 28volt. It is slightly brighter as you increase voltage.
To assure satisfaction with these heads (as well as our lights) there is a 30 day money back offer if you not happy with them.

I stand corrected on the place of manufactor. I am sorry for the mis-information. I am sure the G-2 is a fine head, or many people would not be buying them. The Bright Eyes Head is also a very fine one. Time will tell each of these lights quality, and ruggedness for sure. If they can be torn up, a coon hunter that hunts hard can do it. For me, i hunt hard and need something tough for sure. As for the voltage requirement delimna, that started this, it was written clearly on the banner at the bright eyes booth. 17-28 volt, just as the G-2. whichever you pick, i am sure both of these fine men who make these heads, will honor your choice and wish you the best of luck with your purchase.

Now if Mike and Ray need a rough type field tester to do a comparison for them, i'll send them my address. All the feed back they could ever need. of course, that too would only be my opinion. LOL

Fellas, you better get ready to accept the fact that whichever you chose, THEY WILL ALL be obsoleted by something better next week or next month or maybe tomarrow! This l.e.d. technology is advancing so fast that we may all go broke trying to keep up if we actually try to keep up.

A comment about the colored popcovers.
I always use a yellow pop in the summer to keep the bugs out of my face. I have heard that the led's don't draw bugs like the bulb lights do and if that is true, then I would have no need for a colored pop cover because I noticed long ago the theory that they look at the colored lenses better did not prove out in reality. The two best coonfinders I have ever hunted with are Marv Schmucker and Brian Whitted. No matter how thick the leaves, if those two can't find them, I'm believeing it isn't there. I have never seen either of them use a colored popcover.

Jim, I have personally seen coons look at a colored lense when they wouldn't look at one without it.

I have had better luck with red than with amber, significantly better.

But I have actually had coons that would look with a red pop cover on, and not look without it. Seen this several times.

Could have been concidence, but I always have a red pop cover with me because of it. It ain't that much extra to carry, keeps the bugs at bay in the summer, and might show me a coon I wouldn't see without it (notice I said MIGHT LOL).

Exactly, but that's what makes the purchase of the Bright Eyes head a smart one because the head has been designed to be upgradable when the newer/better technology is available. You wont have to purchase a new head, just the upgrade.

Jim,when the next newest brightest one comes out..Can I have one of your old ones? LOL.........All I'm worried about a cover for is the bugs also..I run the amber lens all summer..Without it bugs will carry you off..

Red eyes are easier to see and you know it wasn't a star if you just get one eye for a second.
