light question

I have an Island Valley 21 volt belt light, when I have it on high it will stay on for about 7 mins and then shutoff. Still ok on the low side. Leave it off or on low for awhile and it will do the same thing when turned to high again when shining the next tree. Any ideas what is going on with it or what I need to do? Thanks in adavnce for any help.

Hey,

I am not exactly sure how your light is made, but if you have the 5100 style head and a 5-way rheostat switch on your battery, make sure your battery switch is at the highest setting before you turn the head switch to the high side....the light is shutting off to protect your equipment.Hope this helps.

Yep, 5100 head and 5 position switch. I always have it on 5 before turning to hight side it just shuts off after about 6-7 mins.
