I will have to

get some pics of my plott female on a hog. She is pretty gritty for a year old pup. She is the first plott I have ever owned but I see more in the future! She is just grade but has been catching on the ear already. Biggest pig so far has been about 150 pounds but she caught and held!!

This is that little red feist i was tellin you about that took that hog 45 minutes up on the mtn and bayed the 2 in out hog lot by himself. I love plotts to DEATH and couldnt see huntin without one, but if only feists had an extra 40lbs to them :P thered be nothin that could stop them. this one, ranger, isnt a strong tree dog, but we had him on his first coon at 9 months, and he stuck to the tree for about 2 or 3 minutes. hed rather have the game in front of him. he was in on a groundhog kill at 10 months, and i took him coonhuntin when he turnd a year old, and he treed a little better, but hes not a real strong tree dog. but when he was 9 months, i showed him a hog and he barked, and when he was 10 months i threw him in the hog lot with a small hog and he ran it in circles, biting at its legs as it ran, and then stood infront of it and bayed it, adn he did that again when he was 15 months, then he ran that one for 45 minutes on the mtn, and then after about 30 i got some hunters that were up there to throw out with him and he had that one shot infront of him (with the help of their walkers and blueticks, tho). so now every time i go i take him. even when he doesnt help run, hes just a good dog to walk with since he stays right there with me. lol (for the full sized pictures, click the pics)

And this is my 11 yr old feist that i took huntin 2 years ago and she was in on a hog run and when they got it stopped, she caught with some of my catahoulas:

And this is Millie, my new feist. Iv only had her for 3 weeks, and shes only 15 months, but she has treed 2 squirrels by herself and barked at a hog we have in the pen. (theyre my feists, but my dad loves them. i love hounds and he loves feists, so i hunt mine AND his plotts, and he hog hunts with my little feist and his smaller curs. lol)

Best I can tell just me.....I don't know of anyone else around our part of the world..I'm sure there's one or two scattered around, but i don't know of any (except the ones that came from my house). I've had a little bad luck the past few months and lost two of my females. That just leaves me with one female and 4 males right now.

He's 3 year old....and no we don't have any bears around here. He's a hog dog, but he's treed a few coons, and runs the occassional trash...but not very far. His biggest problem is varmints (rats, possums, armadillos etc..) when he was a year and a half he spent the whole summer running loose with one of my jagdterriers and she taugh him some bad habits.

They hunt pretty good. Both of them are pretty young, though.
