how hard to train?

im interested in getting a fiest to squirrel hunt with. ive always had coonhounds and was wondering if the squirrel dogs were easier to train by themselves than coonhounds? what is the best way to get them started? and what bloodlines should i try to look for? im interested in getting a pup even though i know i should start with a started of finished dog. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

- buckner hagood

in case anyone has any pups- im looking for a white fiest with tan/brown markings. im located just north of columbia,sc

First, color is nice, but it shouldn't be THE deciding factor.

try: http://www.jazzfeists.com/ or

in my opinion sq is the easier of game to start a dog on due to the fact there is more of them moving around at any given point. most of my hounds get started on sq, and i train all my smaller fiests n terriers by theirselves.
