Garmin Map Card Question

Some how my son lost the map card out of the garmin.

I had backed it up on the computer but now when i copy it back to a different 2g Micro SD card it does not read the maps. It knows there is a card there but it will not show the maps. What am i doing wrong?

I had bought an extra micro sd card and it came with a bigger SD card that had a slot you could put the micro card in. Then you put it in SD card slot on the computer. Then I saved it to my computer.

My experience with this, is if it is a copied card, from someone other than Garmin, you can copy it once and it'll work after than no dice. I have a back up of mine also, so far haven't had to use it other than to test it. It works should I need it.

Maybe the file was corrupted somehow?

I just recieved my Garmin and do not have map card yet. I noticed that you can not clear hunts. Is this normal without card?

I do it all the time for the guys that come up to hunt. You have to copy the folder and past it to the card or you can high light the folder and right click to bring down the drop down list to send it to the map card. You can also copy the card to a folder on your hard drive in case you ever need to copy it. If any one needs help doing this PM me or email me your phone # and I can call you and walk you through it. Once you do it once it is just a couple clicks and it is done.
