Winter Classic

I am hunting in the Winter Classic for the first time. Where do these casts normally draw out to, or what is the fartherest they will let someone guide?

I don't want to drive all the way down to Albany just to get back in my truck to come all the way back home to hunt. If that be the case I will just guide, or stay home and pleasure hunt.

Roberta is the furtherest place they satelite out of. it is about 90 miles to the north of albany , off US 19. not a bad drive. If you are thinking that you will stay on the grounds to hunt, then you have about a 1 in 6 chance. these bigger hunts require a lot of ground to hunt on. some will drive, some not, but it is the chance you take.

There are one or two good guides out of Roberta. Edison or Brookfield to me are the best draws. I won out of Edison last year.
