Dont know who has the brightest out there but I bought my son a Smart Light for Christmas and we both absolutely love it. I hunt with a 21 volt Bright eyes belt light. It is not as bright as it but for the money and conveniance and comfort the next light I buy will be another Smart Light. I hunt Big Hardwood timber with a lot of big tall oaks, if you cant find a coon with this smart light you better give up and take someone along with ya to find the coon cause it aint the lights fault.

I sell light's and this gets asked all the time. All your cap lights, smart lights and predator lights are all LED and are bright, but you can't compare them to a belt or box light with a incandescent bulb. If you take a LED light an shine it in the beam of a incandescent light, you will see the LED as plan as day, and people that push the LED lights push that real hard. Think about this, look at a regular old household light bulb and then look at a florescent light, they are both bright but the florescent has more of a white tent to it. The LED light is the same, that's why you can see the beam of a LED inside the beam of a regular bulb. The little lights are great and affordable when you compare them to a belt or box and if you don't hunt but 2 nights a week thats all you need, but it isn't a work horse light. You kinda get what you pay for and most only have a 1 year warranty unlike a belt or box with a 4 or 5 year .

Who sells one with a traditional charger -- not one of those Chinese weird looking chargers?

I have 2 different cordless lights and both have a regular traditional charger..............Only one of the LED lights I have is also being offered by a hunting supply business............the other is one I contacted a company concerning.

Its gonna be hard to compare these lights until the manufacturers give us a standard to measure them by. For instance K lites new g2 head is advertised to produce 800 lumens, can anyones light top that?

BWSupplies, you know what I am talking about.

Is someone making them where you can plug a traditional wall charger into the battery pack like the box and belt lights?

I have 2 different LED lights that batteries built into head (kinda like the Predator) and both have a traditional wall charger.

I have a 28 volt nite lite and use a smart light for a walking light. If I was in a comp. hunt with only a led I would feel like I was there with my pants down. There is no compairison on how much easier it is to see a coon with the 28 volt.
What they need is a 28 volt on the same hat as a LED. Then they would have a light.
You shine a tree with a LED and you see a spot about the size of an eagle nest. You shine a tree with my 28 volt and the whole tree is like day time.

The Smart Light has a charging outlet that hangs down in the back of the bump cap and the charger is a regular wall charger. The only thing I don't like about that light is the battery's. They use a lithium ion battery and they don't like water to well and they are in a nylon pouch. K-Lights battery's are metal hydride and are in a plastic water proof box. The K-light is a nicer light and you can tell by the workmanship.

I know KLights is in a project box but they don't use a wall charger do they?

I have wondered why the other LED lights I have seen out there are not using a project box as well for their batteries.

I also wonder why the don't make an L pug to connect the cord to battery box/pouch.

The K-Light uses that funny looking charger and I would say they use it because that head is cheaper then the one on a Smart Light. When you look at the 2, the Smart Light is $40 to $50 dollars more then the K-Light and Mikes light has the battery box riveted to the cap not zip tied on.

No, it has a short cord, everything is mounted on the cap. If you look in the classified section under Dog Supply Vendors and look at the post New Coon Hunters Store in North Carolina their are some pictures of one I posted about a month ago.

I have been using my smart lite since AO and I have yet to need anything brighter. I usually look for eyes during the summer and coons really look good at the white lite. I can see how maybe if you are looking for a coon body in deep cover you may need something brighter. I was thinking about buying the spot this spring I can't imagine going back to the whole belt and cord thing.

My smart light and my east fork has the weird chinese charger. That is one thing I dont like about these lights. Taking the head on and off all the time and next thing you know, its gonna be falling off when you look up a tall tree. Granted, these lights will do the job, but the day they make one that is bright with a long burn time, I will get one of them...

Funny thing is, when my son was about two he had a little Bob the Builder hat that was plastic with a light mounted on front of it. I think it ran off an AA battery or two. I was looking at it once and thought, If that thing was bright that would be the way to go. LOL....

Mike uses smaller batteries with less of a burn time that the smart light or east fork light. The larger batteries require to large of a project box. They do not have a need or the room for an L plug. As far as the brightest goes the smart light is brighter than the others. Some are close but not quite as bright. However if you by the Stanley spot light with any of them then they are all the same. The construction is better on some than others and the battery type is different. But they all use the same chargers except for the predator.
