Thanks Jess, I'll keep doing this as long as the good lord allows. Chris, I used to be president of that club. There are hunts throughout the summer and fall out of Laurel. You don't need to be a resident to coon hunt. We have no season on coons. You don't need a liscense to tag along on a lion hunt as long as you're not handling dogs or harvesting a cat. If you plan on going lion hunting I would really suggest that you get in the best shape possible. It can get tough at times. You need a lot of heart and the least amount of brains imaginable. If walking 5-10 miles through some tough country in tough conditions is your idea of fun then this is the sport for you. I took an ex green beret with two purple hearts to get a lion a few years back. He got a nice tom and told me how much he enjoyed the experience. I told him he could tag along whenever he wanted and he shook his head and laughed. He told me it was the hardest thing he had ever done and he would cherish the memory but never wanted to go through it again. He said he thought I was crazy if that was my idea of fun. If you make it out here show up at a hunt and you'll meet some decent guys and should have no problem finding someone that will let you tag along.
