Steel toe boots?

Anyone recommend a good pair of steel toe boots. Gonna be in the market for some here in a bit. Working most of the times outside and it can get pretty cold up here. Just looking for an all around good boot! Thanks in advance

i use redwing, they cost more than the walmart version but breakin was not even noticed except getting used to finding the petal on the semi,,and they last longer,,the steel toed ones i have has 4 eyelets at bottom and 4 hooks and 1 eyelet at the top with the cleat tread and waterproof..they have different styles but for the money they are what i will have .they also have some that look like lineman boots with high tops for snakes,,you might be able to go online and see what all they have and a store near you..

Being prior military and threw a heck of a lot of boots I would highly recommend these

http://www.corcoranandmatterhorn.co...p;CategoryID=33

I LOVE THESE BOOTS they do great in snow, mud, SAND I KNOW ALL ABOUT TESTED AND TRIED, went out last night in the snow here in neb and with only one pari of socks feet stayed nice and warm with the insulation they put in there. They are also waterproof/ resistant to almost the top of the boot where the tough is sewn in to the top of the boot. so you can go into 6-7" of water and not worry about it.

The only thing that I would have to say bad about this boot is when it does dry out after being wet/frozen ect is they shrink a lil and kinda hard to get your foot back in but by the time you get your hound/dog ready they are ready to be tighten back up.

OH and make sure you purchase either parachute cord or a really heavy heavy heavy heavy boot lace NOT LEATHER the eye lits at the bottom of the boot WILL tear up a lot of cheap brand boot laces. I like to use the 550 cord the best but I have ran out of it.

I have two pairs of these that I wear I switch them on and off. They are a lil costly but well worth the MONEY.

If you are not happy with them and you are the same boot size as me and want to get rid of them send me a pm.

I have had both of these pairs since I deployed to IRAQ in 06 and they are still put together nice and tight. No sole lose, low tread wear, veary easy to clean, all you need is a hand wire brush NOT A WIRE WHEEL!!!!!!!!!!!! and they will look close to brand new when you get done.

Some guys int the military thought the wire wheel would be quicker and easier some ended up with sprained wrist due to the boot rotateing too fast when they hit the wire wheel.

I have a nice pair of Wolverines, but they aren't insulated or anything. They are water proof.

Wolverine DuraShocks.

By far the best boot for bein on your feet all day. Next best thing to Muck boots for comfort. The soles are made for bein on concrete all day so they absorb lots of shock. They are well made, waterproof and you can get them insulated as well.

boots

Years ago my mother-in-law was high up in the advertising department at Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, Michigan. I was a heavy equipment mechanic and hard on workboots due to oil, grease, being out in snow, etc. Through her, I would get Wolverine work boots to "test". I preferred Red Wing, thought they wore better and were more comfortable. When I told her that, I started getting Wolverine boots for testing. I went to work for DOT and have never found any leather than can stand up to salt and calcium chloride without some maintenance. Now I am the boss, still wear steel toed boots, and mostly in office. Don't take much of a steel toed boot when working at computer. Wear Wolverine Dura Shocks, good boot and comfortable. I have some problems with the stitching. Dura Shock and Red Wings are both good boots.

Boots

I have wore red wings good boot but heavy. Wolverine ok but dont last as long. Rocky is a good boot I have found no problems with but I tried Timberland boots they have a titanium toe alot lighter and dont seem to be cold on your feet and also they offer a 30 day wear trial if you don't like it for any reason bring it back and get your money back life of these boots have been good also.
