Not first of the year yet........LOL

Early next year was time frame given back in Sep to me........of course that all depends on several factors such as FCC approval, quality control, and etc..

Look at the delays on the DC30 with quality controls that delayed it several months being hitting shelves.

It's planned for the early next year so lets keep fingers crossed.

Thank Buckshot I can't wait I hope it runs on AA and the collar is made of aircraft aluminum and has led lights on it. I know it is not the 1st yet but some people around here are on the inside track.

Buckshot - Originally, it was said this unit will be a combination GPS and telemetry unit. It was also my understanding that it was going to be quite pricey. With the price of the Marshal tracking unit I can only imagine what it will cost. A common coonhunter like myself will not be able to afford one...

Randy, it still will be the combination GPS/Radio Tracking system. As far as price, I haven't heard any price range.

To modulate a frequency onto a signal it takes power. Trust me you don’t want it to run on AA batteries. If you could afford the unit you wouldn’t be able to afford the batteries. LOL

joey

not realy i would think they would have separate batteries so if one went down you would have the other to fall back on,this only makes sense to me

That would make sense but that would make two battery packs in the collar and a switching circuit. The switching circuit wouldn’t be much but the use of two battery packs would make it bulky.

i wouldn't

count on the marshall unit being any better than the garmin
garmin is the bigest gps company in the world marshall is small potatoes in comparison. marshall will probly be renting satalite space from garmin or have garmin do there software lol...
The astro was the first it changed hunting forever.

question

of the olks using the Garmin are they still having troubles with weather, terain, interfering with signal or has the new DC30 collar taken care of that problem that would be why I would want a dual system.

I hunt is some hilly terrain and some foul weather. Neither has interfered with operation.
