when is the freezing rain coming

i hope it gets hear quick,,plowed the driveway 4 hrs ago and now you can't even tell i did it!!! the wind is blowing 40 knots and the drive is pluged back up with snow..i was hopeing the rain would get here before now so it would quit blowing snow all over..dug 6 kennels out that had 2 1/2 feet of snow in them, and now there filled back up again..i'm tired of winter already..

ya sound like a old guy!!!

? i'm startin ta ductape some tissue ta my a?? back end gettin ready fer the ice,... got my helmet on too..!!!!! i am turnin into a heather i think, i cracked that thing 3 times already this winter(my head ),the other thing is naturally cracked!!!! have a merry christmas mr. dave!!

i bought me some ice cleats last yr..i hope we get some ice so i can stay on top of the snow intead of having to wade thru it..makes coonhunting a little more interesting when the coon and dogs are on a level playing field!!!merry christmas to you too!!

It's going to be a big one for the mid section

...Wintry weather expected across much of the Central United States...Widespread snow is expected across the Central and Northern Plains to the Mississippi River through Thursday. Heavy snow is possible from eastern Colorado through the Dakotas into Minnesota. Greatest accumulations are expected from eastern Nebraska into the Upper Mississippi Valley where one to two feet of snow is possible by Christmas morning. Freezing rain is possible across parts of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.

Maybe a foot where I live. And wind to boot. Makes me wish we had some more trees on this praire.

it can't decide what it wants to do here...high winds and then it keeps switching from freezing rain to sleet, then snow, then back to freezing rain..i don't care what it does as long as it quits drifting..lol just getting tired of shoveling for 2hrs to dig the dogs out every morning..

Does anyone know if freezing rain has any effect on a sleigh and reindeer?
Is there a possibility Santa cant make it this year or does he have deiceing equipment on board? Dang now im all nerved up.

Pilots use an alcohol concoction to prevent ice from sticking to their planes. By the looks of Santa's rosy red face I think you've got nothing to worry about.

just what i was afraid of!!!went out to water the dogs, and that 2 1/2 feet of snow i shoveled this morning is rite back in front of the kennel doors again..now i know why when everyone retires they head south..

if you put privacy fence uparound your kennel that would stop the snow from blowing in I have it around mine and do not have to shovel snow out i also have a roof over mine.

The snow fence is a good idea I put one up at dad's and hes only shoveled once so far. And he lives on top of a hill.

Built a new Kennel with a roof that I figured paid for itself the
first big storm. Trees and brush and a tarp on one side helps
to keep it from blowing in. Also only put up three kennels. Used
to have 12 kennels alond a 50 foot shed at my old house and
always figured I had to keep all them kennels full. 3 full kennels
aren't as much work as 12!! One march I went to Ashland Ohio
for the blue spring hunt. It was just starting to snow when I left.
Kept right on snowing till my wife called me about 40 hours later
saying the dogs couldn't get out of their houses. Told her to open the dog house doors in the shed and I was on my way home.
Drove 10 hours all night and shoveled snow all the next day.
Had to shovel 4 feet drifted across the gate to the fenced in dog
yard, the kennel doors and the kennels themselve. Almost killed
me then, don't think I could do it now. No wonder my wife said
there was to much for her to shovel!

Take care on that ice!!! We got cleats last yr too.. finally broke down and got good ones... with my back problem even little slips are ruff... but falling is OUT of the question!

i got a small morton building that would work great, just got to jackhammer some freestalls out and half the cement work would be done..the kennels i have now are imbedded in concrete, and i'm a fraid if i build more kennels i'll end up getting stupider and get more dogs!!lol oh well, maybe next yr.

i had awning over mine. and that lasted 3 weeks...had a bad storm with 60mph winds rip it off and ended up 1/4 away laying in a field..i think getting down to three dogs would make life alot easier..

I was out with my four legged freind's & they was gettin a snoot full of sumthin? I put the other's in the cave,strapped a collar on the "Bum" & ain't seen him since. Course that was only a couple minute's ago.

Coon are stirrin I just about bet on it to an extent but I reckon not many hunter's are in Mr Roger's neighborhood.....LOL!!

not to worry!! the world will starve to death before global warming will have an effect on us...obama needs to worry about whats going on within the borders before trying to save the world from the tempature rising 2 degrees every 100 yrs..

Got treed above the barn about 75 yards. Could see the coon once I got past the yard lite but not when I got to the tree. Gotta be a lot tougher than me to be lookin up in what seemed like wave's of shotgun blast's & the stuff even hurt...a Lil

...LOL!!

He wanted to go more & I made the executive descion to say "Screw This"!

Good thing I had my hard hat on & the creek wasn't on the rise..........yet.
