Any tractor/trailer drivers' on here?

Got a ?
On a sliding trailer tandem.
Sliding the trailer tandems, which way(forward or back) shifts the weight of a loaded trailer which way?

I'm not a trucker but I would believe the tandems shifted forward...weight to the rear & vice-versa

sliding the tandems forwards puts the weight on the trailer axles..sliding them to the rear puts them on the drive axles of the tractor.I'm 99% sure thats right.I could be wrong though cause I pull a lowboy doing heavyhaul and don't slide nothing.

I kelp mine to I was72, they cost 52 bucks here in Arkansas.I haven't worked since 1996. But I still like to stop and watch a nice Peterbilt go down the road.[37 years seeing the world through a wind sheild.]
