That reminds me of a hunt on the Barton Co drainage ditch one night. It was cold, I mean cold brother, and we had a video camera with us, as Sac River Fancy had a litter out of Nailer and someone wanted to see her tree, but lived in like Georgia or something like that.
Anyway, the dogs tree and when we get there its a den. Not a real big tree, and I tell Randy Abney (owned Fancy):
"No big deal, I can climb that tree."
So up the tree I go, with Randy narrating the whole time on film. I get where I can look in the hole and Randy asks how many coons are in there. I tell him nata, bone dry.
He started jumping up and down, tossed the camera, screamed and yelled saying my god at least you could have told a little white lie WERE ON FILM.
In our defence, lots and lots of Hot **** had been consumed....
(remember it was very very cold  )
Ahhhh the good ol days. LOL
Later that night we did get a pup from that cross on film treeing her first coon alone, she was about 5 months old.
Another pup that was there that night went on to make duel grand and was advertised at stud for awhile.
