Last Nights Hunt. Just Having Fun !!

Overcast cast skies kept the bright moon down and made for a nice night to run in New England. Been running Ellie and Reb hard and having a lot of fun. This drop took 45 minutes to tree. The areas I hunt have alot of water. Makes for some tough running some nights and every now and again the coon gives the dogs the slip. Not tonight though

NICE!

LOVE the pix, esp the second one! Thinking you MAY have even more water today??? Been pouring here for a bit.... Not sure how much of the area is getting wet but we sure are.
Keep having fun(and taking pix ) HappyHunting!

Thanks Folks !!

Really enjoy cutting these two off the lead any night.

Pete, Reb's tree style is classy to me. I enjoy walking into a tree and seeing him straight up on the wood. Below is my NHCH Blue Moon. One of my favorite s of the past His tree style was "Awsome". .

Time Will Tell

Hi Wayne,

Breeding Ellie and Reb is certainly a consideration in the future. Although Ellie is showing many good hunting qualities, I want to let her mature, put a hunting season under her belt and put her in some night hunts in the spring before any decisions.

Been Good

Hi Theo,

Glad to hear you had a good opening night. Took a ride out to Hardwick the other night to see if you guys were around. In a few weeks I'll start running futher north and taking some coon. Don't have a lot coon close to the house and want to be selective of the number I take.

Great pics! That is one big Hemlock in that first pic the minute I saw that tree I knew you were in the Northeast!

Over the years I have treed some BIG coon in the Hemlocks here in Western NY I have many fond memories and left a few too that wouldn't look in those 80 to 100 foot thick tops!

Take care and have a great season!

Oh what I'd give to see my bluedog tree like either of yours! Looks like you got some young talent there, good luck with them. Maybe we could run together sometime and I could watch some real dogs work haha Hope you have a great season! :-)

Thanks !

Appreciate all the feedback

Just want to clarify that I don't have the best or worst of hounds . I spend a lot of time day and night working with my hounds. They please me most nights and can be goofy as heck others!

IMO nothing beats dropping the tail gate and just listening to the silence of the night broken when the hounds first open,

With the new electronic age I enjoy sharing my experinces and reading about yours.

Like I have always said... " Just having Fun "

Jim
