Rule suggestion take a look

Here's an example me too dog is a first or second strike dog. youre dog strikes for 25 then trees for 125 then me too dog strikes for 100 and it takes it 3 or 4 minutes to tree with youre dog and it gets 75 on youre tree, Plus them up and guess who is winning?????????????????????????????????????????????????????Ignorance at its best.

Or how about youre solid dog strikes for 50 then trees for 125 while the me too dog strikes for 75 and covers another dog in the cast for 75 then next cut youre dog strikes for 25 and again trees for 125 while the me too dog strikes for 100 and covers youre dog with 30 seconds left on the tree and recieves 75. then on the next cut youre dog again strikes for 25 while the me too dog strikes for 100 and again covers a different treed dog with 1 minute left on the tree and recieves 75 again.

Guess what you just lost the cast by having the dog that treed 3 coon while the me too dog won the cast by 25 points. 500+ to 475+.

And you want to sit there and tell me that's right????????????

what if that me too dog covers in 15 sec.,,,,then what!! if you want to get the rules changed so only one dog is allowed to tree on one tree...go hunt in the hunt test, then your 25 point strike dog won't be affected...

Where did i say anything about 15 seconds????????????????? Ignorance at its best. Of course if a dog trees with another dog after 15 seconds it should get 75 BUT NOT AFTER A MINUTE. If you disagree then that tells me what kind of dogs youre packing.

lol,,,during kill season, anybody that has ever hunted with me will always ask me if i brought my own rifle..does that tell your ingnorance anything!!! most of my dogs are independent to almost a fault..but if i can't beat a dog that takes second on every tree, i'll start looking at breeding some better striking ability in my breeding program..rather than try to change the rules to suit my dog..

i had a similar point about mee to dogs being better, the fact is if your breeding for go hunting 1st strike and 1st tree dogs you shouldn't be getting beat by a dog that is independant or me tooing in so many eyes, the rules are set up so that a huge variety of hounds can compete no just one style, but i tell you the hard hunting 1st strike 1st tree dog win over the rest period, why is no body is breeding for balance? i want a dog to lead the pack in all departments from strike to tree , but i will say this if my dogs is ou there and not struck and another dog strike it better get in there and at least check to see if that hound is running a coon, and it better not be slow doing it.

when your getting the best of both and your dog is finished(broke/straight cooner)that houind is hard to beat.

I don't think there are as many "me toer's" as made out to be on this board. In my area if you can't have 1st tree at least once you ain't winning the hunt. I have seen several "me to" dogs, but they don't ever beat the 1st and 1st hounds around here.

1st ukc already awards a tree dog over a strike dog by scoring it 125, maybe 1st strike should be 125 then 75 for second, the other kennel club has a count down rule but only awards 100 tree points.

now babbling will come up, babbling is dog open while no track is evident, well there is babling on the other end also but we call it slick treeing another thing hard to prove when the leaves are on,
