Tell me about the hunting in or around the southern part of the state? Is there alot of caves and hills how thick are the coons? Is there alot of public hunting around the glasgow, franklin area? I have been there several times but never hunted there.?

I live in Scottsville, Allen Co. which is the county between Glasgow and Franklin. The Franklin area is very flat with lots of swamps. Woods in most parts of the county are patch woods 50 to 75 acres but larger patches can be found. Plenty of coon in the swamps when Ive been there. Glasgow, Barren county is more rolling in the northern and western parts of the county and hilly to steep in the south and east. Some caves and a good coon population. There are a few public hunting areas in Barren Co. called the Barren River WMA. its decent hunting but some of it is VERY thick almost a jungle in the summer. I wont turn dogs in there in the summer and I have to be desperate to in the winter. Email if your ever this way we'll cut 'em loose.
