Breeding Question?

I've been trying to breed a female for a couple of days now. The male rides her and penetrates her, but has never hooked up on her. This goes on until the male finally wears out. Is this the males fault or the females fault? Has anyone ever had this happen? Any info or suggestions would be apreciated.

I have seen several litters come from dogs that never hooked. If she is receptive and he gets some in her she can take and have pups. I would suggest you hold him in. Get behind him and when he penetrates simply put your hand at the base of his tail and push slightly. If he can stay in for a little she should take. Never thought they could have pups unless they hooked until I saw a dog mount and never knot came off done it a few more times and we called it quits. She had pups. I have heard of several others tell the same type of story. I am not saying it will happen everytime but it does happen.

could be either ones fault. The male may be getting too excited and knot up before the female has a chance to hold him.Which in all likely hood what is going on.The female actually is the one that determines the length of the tie so if she is not gripping him may be the problem too.
