time out question

the rule says for delaying cast for more than 1 hour... if no dogs in cast are handeled in one hour and you get them all back at same time to my way of thinking you didnt delay the cast so what is the call..... had this happen we scratched the whole cast... but the way its worded seems like a loop hole

If you call TIME OUT, you or everyone, have 1 HOUR to retrieve hounds or be scratched.

No loop hole. This one is in the Advisor. Page 75. Scratch the whole cast.

I think the question here is... If everyone catches the dogs exactly at 58 minutes (all treed out of hearing), MUST you recast from that tree because the 1 hour is approaching or can you relocate as long as that the cast will be completed in time to return before deadline???

You must establish a meeting place when you call time. If you called time and the meeting place was the truck, then everyone found there dogs 58 minutes away from the truck, I think everyone is done because they aren't gonna get back to the truck within the hour.

Jim.. so I'm thinkin the best thing to do here... if all dogs are treed would be to call timeout to walk to them if they are that far away and then call time back in to shine... and TO to walk back to the truck???

You can't score a tree after timeout has been called.
