Rodriquez

I don't like that he left.

But, I think it was an ego/power battle between the Mylan-Manchin team vs. Rodriquez. I think it boiled down to he didn't want to be, and didn't have to be their puppet. It was all about power, and he was becoming bigger than them!!! That's my opinion.

When I saw that Manchins daughter, a Mylan exec, received a retroactive unearned MBA from WVU, I began to get a different perspective on the situation.

If they do get to play next year by some chance ......I will personally keep your name in my profile and I will wager any kind of wager YOU would like to wager on it!.....THATS A PROMISE ...He's a GREAT COACH, but it will take a year or two to get the players into the system!.....We know we seen it happen!

So keep this fresh in your mind!......

Yes this has already been stated. They are bringing the Offensive Coordinator from WV. You guys still will have Stewart. Didn't Stewart come up with that offense originally?

according to wikipedia these guys developed it

While Steve Nuss is commonly referred to as the father of the spread offense, Glenn Ellison is the real father.[1] His version is known as the Run & Shoot offense; however, the scheme (which was originally started as a run-first offense in 1958) has evolved over the past forty-five years into a much more complex scheme. Its first evolution came about in 1962 when Mouse Davis adapted his philosophy to Ellison's but created a more pass-first version. Today coaches like June Jones (Hawaiʻi), Jerry Moore (Appalachian State), Rich Rodriguez (Michigan), Guy Morriss (Baylor), Tony Franklin (Auburn Tigers), and Mike Bellotti (Oregon) and most recently Urban Meyer (Florida) have taken the spread offense to a new level. High school coaches across the nation have adapted some version of this scheme with great success (most notably Todd Dodge, formerly of Southlake Carroll High School in North Texas - now with the North Texas Mean Green and Conrad Nix of two time defending state champion Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia). Several college programs have used some version of the spread offense, among them:

Rich Rodriguez will never have the success he had at West Virginia. He is the worst football coach in Michigan history. This year he coached the worst football season Michigan has ever seen going 3-9. The first coach at Michigan to ever lose to a team from the MAC (Toledo). The first season since I dont know when that they havn`t made a bowl game. Even if he does get the players he needs to fit his spread offense it probably wont work in the Big Ten anyways. Along with the spread, the 3-3-5 defense just isnt gonna cut it against teams like Ohio State and Penn State who will smack you right in the face and run it right up the gut then throw a home run ball for a TD. He is trying to change the tradition of Michigan Football. I don`t expect him to last long up there and after this season im sure the "Radio reminds him of his home far away Driving down the road he gets a feeling that he should have been home yesterday" <--- West Virginia fans know what I am talking about.

Lets Go Mountaineers!!!

Im with ya. I never seen a guy go from being so popular among wvu fans to being so hated. Cant stand him or michigan. Nothing against OSU fans but Im not a big ohio state fan. There is one game I will root for OSU in every year. OSU vs MICH. I guess michigan figured out where to find good coaches. Hope it continues to backfire on em. I love coach stewart but he is going to have a tough time living up to expectations especially with no Pat White. I admire coach belien for the job he done. He really put the basketball program on the map. Hated to see him go. Will never be able to root for or watch(without hoping to see them get blown out) a rich rodriguez coached team.
