For a dog that is not already registered with UKC as part of a litter, and whose parents are not both UKC registered, we do offer Single Registration.
The rules for Single Registration can vary depending on breed so please refer to our website for breed requirements at:
http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/...leRegistration; however the general requirements are as follows:
1. Completed UKC Application for Single Registration (available on our website at http://www.ukcdogs.com/res/pdf/fo6adm.pdf)
2. Photocopy of the dog’s registration certificate from a UKC acknowledged registry
*For all breeds we acknowledge AKC, The Kennel Club (Great Britain), Canadian Kennel Club and any FCI registry
3. The dog's complete three generation pedigree (photocopy or handwritten)
In general, these requirements are needed to register your dog with UKC. Examinations and DNA profiling provide limited information and would not be sufficient to register a dog or verify a dog is purebred. A dog without a complete three generation pedigree and registration with an approved registry will not be considered for registration with UKC.
*Any dog registered under a non-breeding contract (limited registration) will be required to submit three color photographs of the dog (one from each side and one from the front).
If you are unable to provide all of the above requirements, you may list your dog through our Limited Privilege program if the dog has been spayed or neutered.
We encourage you to visit our website to verify the exact requirements for the breed of dog you wish to register. Also, please feel free to contact our office at 269-343-9020 with any questions or to request a Single Registration Application be mailed to you. When calling, please specify the breed of dog you plan to register.
