My son bought a pup today and this will be our first cur as I'm a hound guy. Can some of you cur guys tell me about this bloodline? And maybe what I can expect? I'm hoping to train on squirrel and coon.. I copied the ad below.....

yes.... and he told me to ask around. He mentioned a few folks names that are on the boards that would know about the dogs in the pedigree.

HI, It was my ad you answered and you picked up the pup from my hunting partner Tom Lawson, The breeding on the pup is all Old Stock or dogs bred close to the early foundation dogs of the Mountain Cur breed & has most of the all time greats in the pedigree some more than once,The main bloodlines in him are Busher, Beaty, & two of the older strains of Kemmer stock being Ira Northrup's Southfork line & Chris Boone's stock. So all old time Cur blood with no outside blood competition dogs , No Streak, Jukebox etc. no matter how far you go back even off the pedigree, Something very rare now days. Your pup is very well bred and should have a good mouth, good nose, be bigger than a lot of modern bloodlines, We breed them for both coon & squirrels, .Please call me if you have any more questions and I will be happy to talk to you.
