Tracking system with built in GPS

Saw this in a hunting magazine. The site says the US part is not up and running yet.

What do you all think?

Best I can tell, they are in Barcelona. Sometimes the translation is not the best.

I saw the ad in Cooner and have checked out the website. It doesn't make sense to me. The website gives the impression the equipment isn't even avaiable in the US yet. Why would they spend money advertising something you can't buy yet?
They are kinda lacking in specifics also. I want to know if their GPS transmitts thru cell phone towers. If so, forget them.
I suppose they are worth keeping an eye on. Garmin is still the only wa to go GPS.
I expect Marshall will have a superior system out in the next year. I also expect anything with Marshalls name in it will cost twice as much but it may also be twice as good.

According to the ad I have in front of me, it does not opperate using cell phones. It specifically says that. As far as your general overview, I feel the same way. I am a die hard Marshall man, so I guess I had better start saving now. My contacts at Marshall have told me that they are close.

Is that not the system that Tracker was developing? I think it was before they signed their agreement with SportDog. Buckshot will know for sure.

The little "cartoon" that show how it works makes it appear that the unit is directional.

Also, the gps doesn't look like it will have a built in basemap. Half the reason to have a gps system is to be able to see roads, streams, and terrain.
