Let me tell you, this hits fast and hard. One day fine, the next the coughing starts and it is all down hill from there. I had 2 puppies that never went off food, they didn't really suffer much more then cough and a snotty nose. 1 puppy that was in between, laid around, cough, nose and nibbled at his food and 2 puppies that crashed. No food intake, lost weight, laid around and wouldn't even get up. Lost the runt to it, first, the other 5 are happy, playing and eating now. That was the other time I have ever had it happen in 22 yrs. of raising dogs.
I hammered them with everything I had available. Albon, Penicillin G procaine and finally 500 mg. of Amoxicillin. I hope and pray this is the only time I ever have to go through this. I lost sleep, prayed till I couldn't pray anymore and then prayed some more. God heard me, I give Him all the credit. He heard my prayers and answered them!
