What would you do.???

May 16th a man approached my 15 year old daughter @ walker days and offered her a dog to hunt....When i got this dog he had been sevearly beaten under fed and just plain looked like sh??...We got this dog back into shape and in GREAT SHAPE...He promised my daughter a new pair of Muck Boots which she got and a new light which she NEVER got....She PAID all but 1 entry fee Bought ALL but 2 bags of food for this dog with money she made from mowing yards...Even won a hunt with him..Just the other day The SO called owner of this dog calls and says he is selling this dog...This man just really did good @ a major hunt...Now my daughters setting here with NO DOG....NO LIGHT...NOTHING!!!!!.. We had this dog 3 months She got really attached to this dog...She walked him groomed him and spent a great deal of time with this dog...The dog was sold to a man that I KNOW will take care of him...But thats not the point... The point is he PROMISED my daughter a new light....The average rate for handling a dog around here is $200 a month....dog food....and entry fees...I had to hold the dog until he paid her $300...This man even went to the local athorities...They were on my side they told him..When you take a car into a shop for work...YOU HAVE TO PAY YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR HOME>!!!!!!!!..WHAT would you have done...

I'd feel like an idiot for:
1. letting my kid enter into an agreement that obviously wasn't defined very well
2. teaching her that its all about the money.

I agree with Fred. Don't let this thing happen to another child. This man is a piece of crap and should not own dogs or any animals. PLEASE POST THIS MAN'S NAME.

No contract between a minor and adult is legally binding ... it falls on the parents or guardian to represent a minor .

I think all arrangements of importance should be put to paper and legally binding .

But , if there is a dog in my kennel and I don't think something is right ... he isn't leaving til' I'm satisfied .
