any idea's

I got this hound that has these little bumps under his skin mainly on his back legs and hips and a few on his ears, they don't seem to be bothering him any they just concern me a bit< I never had a dog get anything like this he had them when i picked him up,And didn't think much about it thought they were old tick bits, anybody have an idea what they could be and if there is something i can do or should i take him to the vet, He's not sickly or anything he eats like a horse and hunts hard for as long as you want to stay out, I really would like to get this cleared up cause it just looks bad and thought i'd see if any of yall had ever run across this, Thanks in advance (Jason) I should have mentioned that they are the size of a dime maybe a little bigger and the ones on his ears i noticed today they kinda look like grayish scabs thanks again for any help you can give.

Fungus

Skin fungus. One cup of bleach mixed in 2 gallons of water sponged on dog every other day will clear in up in about a week.

I had a dog with a similar problem that he got between the time I agreed to buy him and the time I picked him up. He was hunting downstream from a chemical plant and was apparently exposed to a skin irritant. Took awhile for his fur to grow back in, but he recovered just fine. Once he got away from the chemicals, never had a problem again.
