need alil help

i got a dog it has mange if that how u spell it and i have ben puting old black oil on her because thats what i few peaple told me to do does anyone no of any other old trick that will save me a trip to the vet

there are a couple different kinds of mange. I don't know about one type, but if the dog has red mange, a full cc of Ivomec every day for 30 days will take care of it with no ill effects to the dog.

An old breeder told me this tip one time, years ago and I've only had one run in with it, but I tried it and it works.
