I have hunted almost every breed of coonhound, and some terriers and curs. Plotts to me are my best fit. They work well on what I need them to here in the desert, up in the mountains down in the river bottoms.
I have them in my yard now and will have them later. I have a litter on the ground now that is almost sold out and another litter due in days.

Midnight Kennels

We've had Plotts in our kennel since 2000. We are striving for the dual purpose Plott and it's pretty safe to say, we're on our way. I enjoy their looks, brains and company. There isn't anything better than sitting in a kennel full of coonhounds after a long day at work .... except listening to them treed!! LOL

Where ever you go, there you are!

I have been hunting Plotts for about 24 years. Started with Rev. Longshore when I was about 12. Love to run bear and coon with our dogs.

have hunted [comp & pleasure] most all breeds. have had plotts about 5 years...they seem to be continually learning when the other breeds are done learning .....seem to retain their knowledge better...have been fairly successful w/them.....jmo

first plotts

I got my first plotts from my uncle Don Bruce of Curtis Ne.in 1972 He was a red brindle and was chasin coon at an early age if 6 mon. with older dogs. Finished him into a duel champion before he was killed on the hiway at the young age of 5. He was a buddy and a pleasure to hunt If I didn't get to the tree to suit him he would come back and grab my hand and lead me back There will never be another like your first russellplotts just plott-n along

i got two Plotts now but by the middle to end of next week I'll have a bunch more!! My female should have a litter soon. When I bought my two dogs, I wasn't planning on breeding them, but they have been such a pleasure to raise and hunt that I thought it would be selfish of me not to pass around the good times so I did breed them and already have a couple sold without even advertising yet. My Plotts handle well, listen great, love my kids, and tree coon like crazy!

Suncrest Plotts

Don and I started in 2004 with our Plotts. We are still learning and are amazed at the characteristics of this breed. Intelligent, loyal, no quit in them. Don grew up hunting mostly Walkers and had some very good dogs. But now we prefer the accuracy and intelligence of the Plott. They are easy to handle and fast learners. Being from North Carolina - they are the State dog and the history behind this breed is so interesting. Lord willing, we will always be leading a Plott.

I am an avid Breed Supporter. Love those Plotts!!!

I dont hunt them or have seen one hunted, I am a pleasure hunter, so tell me the good and bad about them. I read they can be a buckskin color, so any pictures of them would help me deside if I wanted to try them out. thanks for any info
