this is why i cant stand living in a city!!!!!

(first) so, im talking to a employee of my wives and we get on the topic of farming and cows. me having come from a farming background i enjoy talking about it and so we start a conversation on cattle. she starts by stating that raising cattle should be outlawed especially dairy cattle. being taken off guard i ask why and then i got one of those out of touch with reality answers: she stated that farmers kill off dairy calves after they are born so the dairy cows would produce more milk, and shes sure that is what happens to all the other calves. what crap!

(second) im talking to another guy at an office this week while working on a copier and he states that he is a vegetarian and refuses to eat meat. im good with just knowing that he dont eat meat but he proceeds to tell me how he came up with the reasoning behind it. apparently he found a book that stated that if enough people could boycott meat then the farmers would quit raising animals for slaughter and plant crops where the animals once grazed and it would solve world hunger by producing more food.

i cant wait to move away from dumb@@@ city people.

I hope somebody knows how,or will, post a crosslink? on this thread to "People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants" on a Google search. That's a tongue in cheek take-off on PETA. It's really funny. It's no longer active but it's still there to look up. They got sued by PETA for using PETP.

I look at it this way, When times get bad in this country and im affraid its coming, country folks will be able to survive and feed our families. The biggest challenge will be to protect ourselves from the idiots fleeing the citys. Every time i drive thru a city i cant help wondering what ever possesed those people to build those houses one on top of the other. Where i live they are buying up little lots because they want out of the city and then they build a house and expect us to live by their rules and make sure our dogs dont step on their little piece of heaven. Be prepared and Never give up your Guns.

I am in Brooklyn NY right now, and can assure you most of my neighbors are carnivores. Its the suburbanites who have time for this silliness! My mother used to take great pride in converting my veggie friends from college by placing steaks all around them and giving them lettuce to eat. Most succumbed to their noses. : )

Just laugh them off. They're ridiculous...

He is hated by peta and other bunny hugging orginizations because they claim he is cruel because he believes in discipline and that a dog should do what you say not you doing what the dog wants. We should never forget GOD gave man dominion over animals read genisis 1:26 its in a book called the bible something the world has almost forgot.

Same book, Boggyswamp - God created MAN in HIS own image (not animals)

If the RESPONSIBILITY to care for animals falls on us (humans) and, we have the RIGHT to own them - Animals have NO RESPONSIBILITY and because of that, they have NO RIGHTS. ANIMAL RIGHTS is a sham - and all the Animal Rights folks are nincompoops.

By the way, I live in downtown Philadelphia, and nincompoopery runs rampant here. Can't wait to leave.

It's an advertising gimmick. You'd be surprised at what people don't know about Veal. Let alone the raising of cows and beef cattle.
Check this link out. You'll see what I mean.

Free range veal?? Does that mean they were on pasture with momma? That's about all I can figure. As long as it hits my plate with a load of fries or a nice baked tater I am good.

Sad thing is most of that leather probably came from China. That's where they make leather the cheapest way they can dumping the toxic tanning ingredients right into their rivers. This country used to make some fine leather goods, now it is just down to a few companies or private operations doing specialty tanning. Oh well, we are tossing burgers on the grill tonight and frying some bluegills, redneck surf and turf......you gotta love it.

We'll be eating by 6 o-clock, don't be late. Hey, have a great weekend, sorry we don't have enough chairs and dishes to have all the UKC coonhound folks over to supper. Big Bawler can come with his wife and kids if there are any, otherwise come on your own. It's an ice tea and kool aid home....stronger beverages not served.

Emily to be more accurate, you and your neighbors would be concitered Omnivores. That means that you can eat both plant and animal matter. A truely adaptive creature.

Your floppy eared Coondog would be part of the Carnivore Family.

And your Horses, Cows, and Rabbits woud be Herbivores.

I dont live in the middle of the city but i live in a subdivision and we have 7 dogs including beagles and coonhounds. Talk about chasing the neighbors off with pitchforks. We even keep them very quite, people just need something to complain about. Last week when our neighbor discovered the deer feeder we have in our back yard was fun (our backyard is facing 40 acres of woods but try telling them that). I dont understand some people...

HEADS UP!!

Obama appointed a man to his staff as "Regulations Czar" that says animals should be able to SUE HUMANS.

His exact words were, "Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian-like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients' behalf,"

In Spain apes are being granted human rights.
