You can keep those storms! I don't like then atall! But since you did mention it, here is a poem my 15 yr. old daughter wrote back in January. I didn't know it was on the computer til last evening when I was going through stuff to delete what I didn't need anymore. I thought it was a beautiful poem.
Storm
The lightening flashes.
The sky roars like a lion.
It begins to pour unlike no other rain before.
The river beds become submerged.
Again and again the sky lights up and the roads begin to flood.
To my dismay the yards turn to clay.
My thoughts begin to race as fast as the water in the deep muddy streams.
BOOM! Another clap of thunder sounds across the dreary sky.
The lightening burns my eyes with every strike.
The sun is hiding from all the terror!
All at once... Drip, drop, drip, drop.
The storm floats away and the trees are freeing the water from their moisture laden branches.
The sun appears and dries the land.
Until the next time, the sun is in command of the sky fortress!
