Sick and tired of the rain

Anybody else getting tired of all the rain here lately. For the past couple months it seems as though it rains every day and most days comes two or three showers. I've never been someone that likes to hunt in the rain or get out in the hills when its all wet and muddy but here lately if I want to hunt I have to. I wish it would start to dry up.

Amen to that Virgil.......It's been raining in MD for the past 2+ months it seems......I'm done with the rain.....
It keeps my garden happy, and my hound loves rolling in the mud....but that's about it....

The weatherman is predicting rain here for 9 of the next 10 days. Since the start of May it has rained here 34 of 48 days. I'll be so glad when it starts to dry up. I have made up my mind that I am going to go tonight even if I do get wet. If the dogs can go in the rain and mud I guess I can too.

I 'll take the rain over the dry heat of summer. I enjoy hunting in muddy conditions Beats dry dusty hunts and has to be better tracking conditions. Only problem im havin is keepin my yard mowed.

If I tried to mow my yard I would destroy it. The riding mower would sink up and I would have to pull it out with the fourwheeler.

Lots of rain here in central PA too. The grass is almost higher then the house. We have little trails through it to get to the dogs, shed and vehicles. Although I'll take rain over 97 degree heat w/95% humidity!!!!!!

You can keep those storms! I don't like then atall! But since you did mention it, here is a poem my 15 yr. old daughter wrote back in January. I didn't know it was on the computer til last evening when I was going through stuff to delete what I didn't need anymore. I thought it was a beautiful poem.

Storm

The lightening flashes.
The sky roars like a lion.
It begins to pour unlike no other rain before.
The river beds become submerged.
Again and again the sky lights up and the roads begin to flood.
To my dismay the yards turn to clay.
My thoughts begin to race as fast as the water in the deep muddy streams.
BOOM! Another clap of thunder sounds across the dreary sky.
The lightening burns my eyes with every strike.
The sun is hiding from all the terror!
All at once... Drip, drop, drip, drop.
The storm floats away and the trees are freeing the water from their moisture laden branches.
The sun appears and dries the land.
Until the next time, the sun is in command of the sky fortress!
