Aww, if making up rules doesn't work, THEN we can admit the dog can't get it done, lol. 
I don't have feeder buckets or thick coons and maybe in 1 out of 10 or 20 or even 50 tries I can get a coon treed in that minute. I like those odds. Depends on the time of year and what the coons are in. I'm out there hunting enough during the week that if I often know where a coon or litter is hanging out. I'll preserve that spot for a quick dump in a cast. I also try to keep a dog that can get treed in a heartbeat....
I know sometimes a dog being on the leash is part of the hunt. If its alright to burn 1 minute that way, then how much is too much? Those that will burn a minute will likely burn alot more. At some point it becomes an issue for other cast winners in the hunt, the ones that hunted the full 120 minutes. They won't call you ahole or bad sportsman, they will call you a CHEATER.
