first find out

who it was. then get you ass kickin boots on and go over there with a jack handle and handle your buisness. You become the law, unless you want to try and let someone else fight your fight for you. Then in that case it will probly end up with you payin a lot of money on a lawyer, courtcosts and other bull **** and end up having the case thrown out cause it happend so long ago. This is just my 2 cents though and only what i would do not what Jesus would do.....

Sorry to hear about your dog

Go to you county police , tell them you want then to take action !Then get a statement from the people who seen it and the dates? Take him to civil court , small claimes go the max you can claim agianst him. If all that fails then you at least tried the honorable thing . Call your state police and see if theres any stuff that deals with federal and state in the mean while one should help you . Try not to fall to the level where you end up the bad guy. But there is probley times a good ass kicking could would be a good idea but the problem is what could that cost you?

MY BUD'S DOG WAS SHOT I CAN GET HIM TO CALL YOU AND TELL YOU HOW TO HANDLE IT . I DO NO IF IT WAS ON THE MAN'S PROPERTY THEN HIS HOME OWNERS INSUR. WILL PAY FOR YOUR DOG AND EVERY THING ELSE. I THINK THEY WILL VALUE THE DOG AT PUPPY PRICE. SUCKS BUT IT IS THE TRUTH DOG FOOD COMPANY HAS BEEN GETTING AWAY WITH IT FOR YEARS.

Statute of limitations is 2 years or more in Pa. I'd make sure she was willing to step up and get some criminal and civil revenge.

I would get the info from the lady and get the police to go to the site with you. You dig up the dog and let them handle it, so the evidence is not destroyed or claimed to be tampered with. Nowdays they can do everything they do with human bodies, forensics has came along way.
