BEST Coon Squaller????????

I need to know what is the best squaller out there for the money? Something you dont have to spend a lifetime learning how to use to get a coon to look. Let me know what works good for you !!

Thanks for your help

I use a wooden Timothy Ball and can usually make a coon look at least once. Start out with short high pitched chatter squalls , very brief and with your light on lower setting . A loud blast from a squaller can make a coon just hug the limb tighter. Every coon is differant though , some will bail out and some will do nothing.

PS OLT No 27

The Olt is the best I've ever used. You just back the dogs off of the tree and blow. I've seen a many a coon jump out using one. Good luck finding one. They don't make them any more. If you find some please let me know I'd like to buy some more.

Jonah

I went to the link.... same guy. I have one of the old gray and black ones but I'm going to try one of these. He's promoting it as the same squaller. I can't flutter my tongue so this is a perfect squaller for me and it flat works. Thanks for the link!
Jeff

Thanks guys for the input.

I think I have tried all of them but the Olt. I'm not real good with the tongue thing so it might work good for me also.

Could get one to look once in a while but they didnt more than they did with the others.

If anybody else has got any more suggestions on a good squaller I'd be glad to here them.

Thanks again
Jonah

OLT SQUALLER !!

JeffHester, I took your word for it and ordered one of the Olt coon squallers. It came in the mail yesterday. It was salty when you can buy squallers for as little as 10$ but I had never owned one of these so I thought I would give it a try.

WOW ! It worked fantastic ! We treed the first dump and we found the coon in a fork and all you could see was his ears so we turned out the lights and squalled for maybe a minute or a little less and when we turned the lights back on the coon had moved so we shined and found it on a limb as far out as his weight would take him right out in the open. We thought well that worked pretty good.

We left there and made a second dump the dog struck and treed and when we got into the tree we found the coon without squalling in a fork in the very top of the tree. So we wondered what he would do if we squalled so we shut our lights out and squalled for about a minute and a half and when we turned the lights back on he had moved down to the lowest fork in the tree. So we shut our lights out again and squalled again. The dog started going nuts... turned the light on and the coon was only about a foot above the dogs head I believe the coon would have committed suicide if we did it again. Unbelievable ! If it works like that all the time it can serve many purposes.

I just wanted something that would make them look in the hunts and it does that and more !! All I had to do is blow....I am amazed. Hope it works that good all the time !! Well worth the extra money !! Thanks Jeff !

Jonah

Jonah, I got mine in the mail yesterday also(must have order same as you) but didn't go last night. I'll give it a try tonight and see how it works but first my dog will have to get a coon in a tree.
