Any other farmers visit this board

Anybody getting any crops in the ground. Looks like Central IL. is looking at another wet wet spring, can't get to the field. Lets hope it quits raining soon.

Got all of our upland corn planted. Just need to get dry enough to get in the river and creek bottoms.

My dad farms about 3000 acres here in SC. We have been through planting corn (1000 ac) about 2 weeks and the first planted is up there pretty good. Right now we are planting early beans (800 early and 650 after wheat) and next Monday we will be putting peanuts in the ground (300 ac)

We farm 1600 acres here in Central IL. Haven't turned a wheel yet. It isn't late yet, but we should be running, it will be a week at least and thats if it doesn't rain anymore, They are calling for rain all next week.

Planters have been moving here in SW Iowa for about 2 weeks, but we had about 3 inches of rain this last weekend. Some rivers went out, I'm sure some ground will need to be replanted.

Lots of planters going last week in NE Iowa, but the rain since Sunday put a stop to that. Sounds like good weather for next week, so I can get done before BBOA National hunt. Take care, Ron.

We get a nice day here and there, but the ground hasnt warmed up much yet.

I would guess close to half the corn is in around here tho....

I plant more small grain than most and still have a few acres to put in...Corn is a couple weeks off for me yet.

I'm a bigtime farmer..

Thinking it's about time to put in the crops...

I usually plant about 7 cucumber plants, 2 beds of green beans, 6 pepper plants, and a few butternut squash. This year I might do 3 or 4 pumpkins. I'm a huge farmer alright. If Willie Nelson ever gets me some farm aid, I'll make a new rasied bed and try red onions.

I'm a sideline farmer. Work a regular job then got about 100 or so acres of grass we roll. and about 35 head of cows so far . Looking to slowly expand. Both sides of my family have farmed for many many years , I almost feel as if I have to do something just to keep it going. Also have chickens, hogs , goats , and a few horses.

Reporting from SE Iowa

Been wet all spring. Dried enough about 3 weeks ago to get some oats in. There was a little corn went in last week, but my bottom has not dried enough to plant. Rained off and on for the last week, stopped everything. It will take 2 or 3 good drying days before any wheels turn. Spring is running about 2 to 3 weeks behind.
