training

i have a 18 month blue dog, i want her to run bobcats, what is the best way to train her? she has run and treed coon and house cats. i think she will run anything she jumps. this spring and summer i am breaking her on junk.

any suggestions would be great. thanks

I just show my dogs a bobcat track and try to get them to run it. This works better in snow then you can walk the dog down the track. After the dog takes it you can follow and see how they are doing. You can work them with a drag it doesn't train them it gets them started then when you find a bobcat track they know to run it. Bobcats can be tough for a dog to tree so don't give up. Just keep her out in the woods she'll figure it out.

should i let her run house cats or scent drags??
