I've seen pups tree on a coon hide at 8 weeks old.

Smokey River Blue Spud treed his first coon, in the wild, under fair chase conditions when he was 5 1/2 months old.

I'm sure that's not a record, but it ain't bad.

I had a pup that was out of Dual Grand Muddy Boggy Blue Dobber and one of my old females that treed 3 singles in the wild by himself the first night he was hunted, he was 4 months and 16 days old.

I had worked him with a lead coon a couple times before that night.
