cough

my 9 months old female seems to have a cough today let her out to run adn she cough a little then when i put her back in the pen she coughed some more and then vomitted ......she had a little cough a few weeks ago but not quite this bad,,,,any ideas on what it is

might have worms--lot of time they will upset a dogs stomach and they will show those symptoms.

Dean we were hit hard with this promblem you are talking about it is just a form of Kennel cough that is very contagious. Being from South Louisiana we see this on a Yearly basis especially labs, and dogs worked hard. There is a treatment for this that is sprayed in the nasel passage the name of the drug is Bordatella. I simply give the dogs a cycle of Amoxicillin pills for about a two weeks. Hope this helps you.

An injection of TYLAN 200 will knock this out of the dog in a day or 2. This stuff works great!!!!
Not sure on the exact dosage maybe Lynn can help out with this
