question about comp hunts

I am new too the hunts and I keep hearing all this stuff like so and so is a crook and if you draw so and so you better keep a jar of vaseline in your dog box storage and things like that. Is most of this stuff just urban legend or does this kind of stuff really go on.

most of it is bull crap some of it is because the handlers dont know the rules and dont have enough dog...i would say 85 percent of the hunts you go to will be a pleasure...

sometimes it does, but know the rules very well and you can prevent alot of it.

Know the rules and know going in that there will be some jerks but you will have a lot better hunts then bad ones (jmo)

yea Ive been studying my rules trying to memerize them. but I also hear of things like fixed casts and fudging scores and things like that, to me whats the point in competition hunting if your gonna do things like that. If i wanna cheat I can cheat in a game of poker or something but I wanna go to the hunts to see who has the best dog!!

clayton if you bring the dog and it does its job there shouldn't be no problem. what I have run into is my dog gets of on her own and they will try and say your dog moved. but that only happend twice. and the vote went my way both times. sow call your dog for what it does. and don't be afraid to stand up for your dog.
