Hounds Of The NiteTime
Just some random Tree Pics from a few nights of Hunting. My dad has been working a lot of long hours and days, so its slowed our hunting up some. We're lucky to get out every so often for a drop or two though.
Mainly Tanner has been the one to go. She's in need of some Solo time, and while she's had some kind of false pregnancy thing, she seems to be snapping out of it, finally.
Tanner Treed on a Den - 3/13/09

Tanner Treed with a Coon - 3/16/09 I never realized how freaked out I could get until this night. We cut her and she went right handed. Well there's a road a ways over that way, but this woods is still what I consider safe. Never heard a peep from her and then off in the distance a car starts beeping their horn. Scared that she might be on the road I started trying to try an call her in. No luck. Really had me freaked until she opened up treed. She was about 100+ yards from the road with a big old coon. Not sure if she was on the road or not, but Thank You Tracker Flash!

The next time we went hunting I was so fed up with not seeing many coon with Tanner that I left her at home and let my dad handle Quest. My family said I'm not allowed to leave her at home anymore though. Said she would not stop barking and looking out the widows, just went nuts.
Old Quester got treed with a 'Ghost Coon' that Tanner nor Sally could tree. However, the next drop he worked a track and couldn't get the coon up. He finally came in and we went home as I could barely keep my eyes open. He did good I guess for not being out in awhile.

The next night, last night, we took Tanner. She was making Darn Sure that she went this night! She was jumping, spinning, running, and not letting me out of her sight. Followed me down to get my light, boots, and leash. She loves hunting.
I guess letting her stew one night made all the difference.
1St Cut. We pulled in and there were a few deer around. I thought we'd have a good ol' chase there, but her mind was on coon. She struck and then got Treed on a grape vine. As I leashed her my dad started searching for Ricky. He only searched for a couple seconds before saying it looked blank to him. The grin on his face said otherwise. She had him!

Coon Pic,

2nd Cut, She took awhile covering ground, but then she let out one track bark and Slammed a Tree and was going every breath! She's been a little silent on track lately, not sure why.
Shed had the coon up high! Whoohoo, 2 for 2! It was almost 10, so we headed home.

That's all for now. I'll have some Bench Pics coming soon!
