Just as good if not better.

I have a Maxima and a Garmin and the Maxima is not too far behind the Garmin for convenience and dependability. I recommend them.

tracker

i have the tracker maxima 5000. i live in the mountains of va an it does really good. but my opinion it doesnt touch the blue wildlife 1000 box. the tracker has lied to me a few times. but im not going to down it it is a good box def. when ur walking. but i dont think ne thing compares to the 1000 wildlife box.

I got the Maxima 1000 and have noticed if you don't have a strong collar it isn't as accurate. I now run Marshall collars with mine, and have no complaints. I have had a radio tower interffere with it, and had to go borrow a wildlife 1000 to find my dog one night. This has only happened one night, and it took me 3 days to find her on that particular occasion.

I have a tracker maxima 5000 and I uses it about every night . It has held up great. I would not tried it for any other unit because it is just as good , but you can't bet the size. The only other unit that Iwould get is a garmin.

I live in Ky & have had a maxima for years. They work well & are with you when you need it.

The Maximas do a good job and the batteries you use in the collars last a long time not hours. What if you had interference like Casey had and it took days to find your dog. I know it doesn't happen often but it does happen. If some unforeseen circumstance came up & I couldn't get back for a day an a half I still want to be able to track my dog.
