GA Federation of Coonhunters

Appeal to all hunters in Georgia, or citizens of of states who hunt here. Please join the Federation and have your voice counted in Atlanta. The Officers and leadership are working hard to put good events, and watch the legislative agenda on your behalf. Strength is in the numbers. Help us help you and join our ranks. Information can be found on the website, and by calling one of the listed officers there, or yours truely. Thank -you

Rock - you make an excellent point. I think most people do not realize just how much the Ga Federation is doing and how hard we are working for ALL Georgia hunters - NOT just federation members.

Our President was on the committee that helped to get SB111 passed. This made it legal to hunt with lights stonger than 6 volts.

Board of Directors member Kevin Phillips has attended meetings at the capital concerning HB 402 - which will extend the deer season in North Ga. Kevin is from SW Georgia.

We have also been working with the Ga Hunting and Fishing Federation on numerous bills including former HB316 and SB16. HB316 was re-written thanks to the contributions of the Ga Federation and The Ga H & F Federation and if it were not for our combined efforts in getting SB16 shut down NONE of us would be able to hunt with dogs in Ga today.

Alot goes on behind the scenes that no one ever sees. Our contributions and help to the Ga Hunting and Fishing Federation ensures that each of every one of the Georgia hunter's rights are protected and fought for every day.

But all this takes time and money and NUMBERS. The more members we can HONESTLY say we represent the greater the possibility we are able to get stuff done at the capital.

Please join the Ga Federation of Coon Hunters as well as the Ga Hunting and Fishing Federation. Membership forms can be downloaded on the Ga Federation website.
