Put 2 collars on him, hook the snap in the farthest one back from his head, the one in front will stop the one in the back from comming over his head.No more slippin' collars!

just got through doin that lol so far its been 2 hrs and no slip yet, although he has been tryin for the past hour lol, he slipped it about 7 and i ent outside and started listenin for him and he was tree'd with the coon lol

put a choker chain behind the collar..used to have a dog like that tried puttin 2 collars together would slip it everytime...know a guy that has a dog when at a bear tree she would always slip her collar off an be on the chase again so he put a choker chain works good..

Tighten the collar. A properly fitted collar wont choke them, yet is IMPOSSIBLE to slip over their head. This is a very easy situation to remedy.

Bring him here and I'll show you a dog that wears one collar and keeps it on lol. No dog has a neck that's the same size as it's skull...if it does he's way too fat. Put it on tight, high up on the dogs neck so you can only slip 2 fingers underneath it...that's plenty loose enough for the dog to breathe, eat and drink...but impossible to bring up over the ears and skull without unbuckling. Think of how tight people put shock collars on...if it were not for the prongs they could keep it on forever...that's how tight a regular collar should be too.

I put one on a very good coon treeing son of a gun years ago. I just happened to go around back after pulling in driveway & dog was almost choked to death as the choke collar choked allright & lived up to its name. It stuck & wouldn't release after getting the dogs hide hung & wadded up in it somehow. If I'd have been a few minutes later or hadn't of went out back right away he'd of been dead. I personally wouldn't use a choke collar no way no how!!!

its kinda cruel but my uncle used to have a male dog that was real bad at pullin and fighting the tie lead. he put the dog on a rope and made a half hitch around his "jewels" then to the collar.
that dog learned real fast to stop pullin on the rope.....

i dont use this ttechnique or condone the use of it but im sure it works.

Just curious can u put a body harness on a dog an tie him up??? Ive never used one but i was just wonderin if that would work..
