A special Thank you to Panola CHA for hosting our event at the Panola Expo Center in Carthage.
And a BIG special thank you to Panola CHA President Tom Sullens who spent most of the weekend getting everything set up - even though he was VERY under the weather with Bronchial Pneumonia.
Joe Burkett III DVM came and gave vaccinations for Rattlesnake bites and for Rabies. He also microchipped and gave people a whole lot of information about caring for their hounds.
Texas B&T CHA had a membership meeting Saturday. The President, Sonia Yearwood; Vice President, Gary Puska; and Secretary/Treasurer, James Blackburn remained in offce. We elected Haskell Wright to be a Director.
We voted to donate $50 to the Texas Responsible Pet Owners Alliance to help fight the AR proposed legislation as Texas is very much under attack from HSUA/PETA & THLN (they're all working aggrsssively together against hounds and hunting this year).
This was our Annual John McDonald show and hunt. John is a B&T Icon with many years of contributing to the breed. He was fondly welcomed to our event and his daughter, Margie was a WONDERFUL help in the kitchen as well as fun to visit with while I was waiting for the NH casts to return with their scorecards.
Thank you to all the guides and especially to Willie Robinson who stayed out until around 9A helping a cast to round up their hounds. Our next event will be held at the Panola CHA Country clubhouse on Hwy 315, about 17 miles west of Carthage.
